Threat Analyst

Key Role:

Leverage all sources of information, including INTs, open source material, law enforcement data, and other government data and information on a specific topic or target. Use structured methodologies and techniques appropriate to the topic and apply specialized subject matter expertise to guide efforts. Develop products tailored to customers who range from tactical to strategic levels, including actionable leads, complex written products, and formal or informal briefings. Analyze threats to international partners and evaluate the impact of differences between US and international threat definitions. Perform weapon system target signature, wake, debris, and countermeasures modeling. Support the preparation for transition from engineering and manufacturing development phases to production and deployment phases. Provide assessments of Targets of Opportunity (TOOs) to operate international assets in realistic scenarios. 


Basic Qualifications:

-Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to various locations, including integration sites and test sites within and outside the Continental US

-Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

-Ability to apply expertise to relevant program analytical principles and practices for developmental and operational programs

-Ability of use, adapt, and develop analytic tools, techniques, and processes for technical or administrative support activities

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree and 5+ years of experience as a threat analyst or 10+ years of experience as a threat analyst in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with interacting and supporting high-level government customers, including generating briefing and written products and presenting information at the executive level 

-Experience with post engagement effects and the KIDD model

-Experience with weapon system design assessment

-Knowledge of Missile Defense system engineering analysis of architecture and performance

-Knowledge of the various Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Upper and Lower Tier weapon systems for one or more of the systems, including THAAD, ARROW, PAC-3, or Aegis BMD

-Knowledge of international weapon system production and deployment schedules
