Training Specialist

Key Role:

Provide SME support to the management of a DoD-wide training program, including coordinating with Combatant Commands to ensure USCYBERCOM-assigned forces are trained, certified, and interoperable with other Joint forces. Establish and maintain training and certification standards for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) and other Joint Cyberspace operations forces enabling USCYBERCOM operations. Assess the effectiveness of training to ensure training meets objectives, reinforces Joint standards, and facilitates the readiness assessment of Cyberspace forces. Develop requirements for collective training and exercise events, including training evaluations assessments and assist with identifying and tracking observations and lessons learned from training and exercise events both internally to USCYBERCOM and across the Joint Force. Develop and provide recommendations to the Joint client regarding strategy, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures for the joint employment of Cyberspace operations forces. Assist with the coordination and development of Joint mission essential tasks, review of Joint mission essential task lists, and assessing USCYBERCOM’s ability to meet the Joint mission essential task list standards. Support the validation of CMF and other USCYBERCOM assigned forces to meet the training the standards necessary to execute Combatant Command Cyberspace operations support requirements effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as a Joint operation planner, including JOPP, JOPES, and APEX planning formats and guidance
-5+ years of experience with training programs
-3 years of experience with managing a Joint force trainer, Joint force provider, or Joint force developer

-2 years of experience with planning, conducting, or directly supporting Cyber operations at the tactical or operational level, including Joint operations planning in a Combatant Command, such as a geographic CCMD

-Experience with the Joint event life cycle, including the development of requirements for collective training and exercise events and the integration of a training evaluation and assessment methodology

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with USCYBERCOM J3, 5, or 7

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including being comfortable with informing and advising senior leaders
-Possession of excellent analyzing and problem-solving skills

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
