University Students - Cybersecurity Consultant

Key Role:

Assist with designing, developing, or recommending integrated security system solutions that will ensure proprietary or confidential data and systems are protected. Provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Participate with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Assist with configuring and validating secure systems and testing security products and systems to detect security weakness. Prepare materials for computer security education or awareness programs. Respond to queries and requests for computer security information and reports.


Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Knowledge of security principles, approaches, and technologies
-Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

-Ability to multi–task with limited supervision in a fast–paced environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree in Spring 2018


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Java, C#, .Net, or SharePoint development in an academic or professional environment

-Experience with Web development concepts, including HTML and JavaScript

-Experience with information security program frameworks, including ISO 27001/2, COBIT, or NIST

-Experience with computer vision or image processing coursework

-Experience with the design and development of an object–oriented system
-Experience with UNIX or Linux

-Knowledge of databases, SQL, or Oracle

-Knowledge of the systems development life cycle methodologies and associated activities
-Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets
-Possession of excellent time management and organizational skills, including being self–motivated
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Security+, CISSP, CISA, or a related Certification
