User Interface Designer, Senior

Key Role:
Manage client engagements within user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design capabilities by conceptualizing and creating large-scale digital experiences and applications. Manage engagements with clients to clearly articulate customer needs and requirements into industry leading digital designs while identifying and prioritizing project milestones and processes. Provide contributions in a hands-on environment by producing industry leading design artifacts directly while mentoring fellow designers. Work closely with team leadership to assist with administrative activities, including staffing, forecasts, estimates, and general oversight. Contribute towards business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, proposal responses, and various Agile development activities.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with UI design

-Experience with working in cross-functional Agile teams to design large-scale digital experiences that meet business objectives
-Experience within the full spectrum of the digital creative process, including user research, information architecture, wireframing, rapid prototyping, interface design, and front end development

-Experience with HTML5, CSS, and front end framework methodologies
­-Ability to work independently and define project objectives and milestones
-Ability to exhibit visual design expertise and strict attention to detail

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA, BS, or BFA degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the following tools: Adobe CC, Axure, Sketch, or InVision

-Experience with front end frameworks, including Foundation, Bootstrap, or Bourbon/Bourbon Neat

-Experience with version control, including GitHub

-Experience with content management systems, including WordPress or Drupal 

-Experience with designing and coding responsive Web sites

-Experience with designing mobile applications
-Experience with developing digital data visualization

-Experience with SASS, JavaScript, or jQuery

-Experience with usability evaluations and testing

-Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government and professional services environment

-Experience with print design
-Experience with participating in hackatons

-Experience with writing proposals

-Knowledge of Section 508 compliance
-Knowledge of JavaScript plugins
-Possession of excellent technical problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation expertise
