UX Designer, Junior

Key Role:

Perform user interface (UI), user experience (UX), and data visualization design, analysis, and development. Perform activities related to UI and UX, including centered approach and creation, prototyping, building, and refining applications and services through icons, A/B tested landing sites, and front-end development. Perform design of visualizations, infographics, and other digital products. Apply knowledge of one or more systems, platforms, and programming languages. Employ cross-functional methodologies, including design thinking, user experience design, customer experience, and user-centered design to support analysis, design, and development of new and existing systems and perform back-end and front-end development work. Create high and low fidelity wireframes and design artifacts. Analyze functional business requirements, design specifications, and provide analyses and solutions for user interaction problems.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with user centered design

-1+ years of experience with conducting and incorporating feedback from usability testing

-Experience with creating intuitive digital user experiences for a wide base of users ranging from novice to expert

-Experience with HTML/CSS, Web editing tools, and graphics design tools

-Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working to support agile projects

-Experience with data analytic centered visualizations

-Experience with communicating and deconflicting requirements from various work streams

-Experience with the intelligence community (IC) or military intelligence

-Experience with Web development libraries, including jQuery and Bootstrap

-Experience with Node.js, Express, Sass, Webpack, EcmaScript 6 or Bable Materialize-CSS JavaScript, and CSS AWS, including EC2, S3, and Elastic Beanstalk

-Knowledge of information architecture, workflow design, information management, and governance for site usability

-Knowledge of evolving Web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3

-Possession of excellent presentation, interpersonal, client support, and collaboration skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree a plus
