Voice/Data Communications Engineer

Key Role:
Support a government client in circuit management. Work with an Air Force client’s circuit manager to manage or operate communications and internal networks. Use tools of the trade, including a DoD web-based order entry system, DoD repository system, shared trackers, and an organization mailbox. Build, submit, track, and close out service requests and orders. Maintain and apply expertise in technical work and relationships to serve clients. Provide timely responses to new and ongoing circuit requirements. Assist with technical project management and briefing materials for the client’s circuit manager. Gather technical information to build and submit telecommunications service requests (TSRs), interpret telecommunications service orders (TSOs) and status of acquisition messages (SAMs), complete delayed service requests (DSR), and in-effect reports (IERs), and close out the requirements.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with providing timely responses to new and ongoing circuit requirements
-Experience in the IT field, including the DoD Web-based order entry system, DoD repository system, shared trackers, and close out tasks through various circuit management tools
-Ability to assist with technical project management and briefing materials for the client’s circuit manager 
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with building and submitting telecommunications service requests (TSRs) or related systems
-Experience with interpreting telecommunications service orders and status of acquisition messages (SAMs) or related systems
-Experience with completing delayed service requests and in-effect or similar reports
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent analytical skills
 

Clearance:
