Vulnerability Scanning Lead

Key Role:

Lead a three-person workstream reporting to the program manager of a large comprehensive information security program. Perform routine and ad-hoc security scanning of NIHnet and its ancillary wired and wireless IC network components, as deemed appropriate. Perform scan-related activities, including operation, scan tool reprogramming, scan analysis, scheduling, vulnerability tracking, notification, and reporting.


Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with IT security and vulnerability scanning

-Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, or CNSS

-Knowledge of systems engineering processes and system life cycle security engineering

-Knowledge of analyzing security tool results to identify risks, issues, and testing needs and providing situational reporting to program leadership

-Knowledge of industry leading automation and manual scanning tools

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-BA or BS degree in an IT Security-related field or MA or MS degree

-PMP, CISSP, GIAC, GCIA, or GCIH Certification preferred
