Job Description

Wargame and Exercise Data Scientist

The Challenge:

Are you excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set? Are you fascinated by the possibilities presented by the IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence advances? In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open up new opportunities. As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors — from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence — you know the answers are in the data.

We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to design and execute wargames, exercises, and simulations. You’ll work closely with our clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, build models, use automation, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn various data points into objective answers that help senior leadership in a multitude of industries to make informed decisions. You’ll provide our clients with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in wargames, exercises, and simulations.

Use data science skills and background to:

  • Consult on the design and execution of strategic and operational level wargames for a range of participants from senior military leaders to C-Suite leaders, action officers, and corporate managers
  • Consult on the design, execution, and delivery of analytic tasks associated with wargames, simulations, and tabletop exercises, including the shaping of objectives, crafting of wargaming constructs, authoring of scenarios, facilitation of participant discussions, overseeing logistics, and authoring of after action reports and briefings
  • Assist with the application of Course of Action (COA) analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes and procedures to craft wargames that allow participants to test assumptions in a minimal-risk environment and gain stakeholder buy-in

Empower change with us.
