Wargaming Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Apply broad comprehension of the design and execution of strategic and operational level wargames for the Air Force Wargaming Division. Oversee the development and execution of wargame design, objectives, and analysis plans, including wargame scenarios, wargame force structures and order of battle, and wargame manning documents. Organize, manage, and lead wargame participants to achieve game objectives. Conduct open-source and classified research and analysis related to Air Force strategy development, strategy implementation, and participation in defense strategy reviews. Draft and execute Concept of Operation (CONOP) products and orders and manage the integration of wargame operations and wargame information environment (WIE). Plan and manage all aspects of event execution and assist with data collection during wargame events. Oversee post-game analysis in accordance with approved analysis plan and draft or deliver wargame outbriefs or reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with serving in an Air Force operational unit at the squadron or group level

-7 years of experience in the Air Force serving above the Wing level, including CCMD, MAJCOM, or AOC

-7 years of experience in wargaming, concept development, strategy development, strategic planning, or strategic assessments

-Knowledge of Air capability development, concept enterprise, strategy assessment, and programming required

-TS/SCI clearance

-MA or MS degree in a National Security field, including Defense and Strategic Studies, Intelligence, Public Policy, Political Science, or International Affairs

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing strategic alignment assessments preferred

-Knowledge of Air Force Service-level planning and programming

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
