Water Resources Specialist

Key Role:

Work with a multi-disciplinary team of technical experts evaluating and improving water infrastructure and water quality programs. Lead audits and assessments and evaluate drinking water infrastructure and water quality management programs. Develop compliance-based deliverables and reports. This position requires the ability to analyze technical plans and develop compliance reports approximately 75% of the time and conduct water infrastructure and program assessments approximately 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with the technical aspects of water infrastructure and quality, including sampling procedures, water treatment, water systems design and operations, and federal and state drinking water quality regulatory compliance

-Experience with leading sanitary surveys or other drinking water audits and infrastructure inspections

-Experience with technical writing and report development
-Experience with communicating complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders effectively both orally and in writing
-Knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods used in water quality control and the management or operation of water supply and distribution systems
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with drinking water system design and construction

-Experience with environmental programs on DoD facilities preferred

-Experience with environmental permitting and communicating with regulators

-BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
-Professional Engineer License
