Web Designer, Mid

Key Role:

Leverage expertise in front-end Web design and development to conceptualize and create cutting-edge Web sites. Engage with clients and project managers to translate business strategies into creative solutions. Apply knowledge of Web development to model, design, and code intuitive, functional, and clean Web and application interfaces. Participate in all stages of the interface development life cycle, from the initial concept of gathering requirements through development, testing, and deployment. Work individually and in a collaborative team environment. Customize UI and functionality for content management systems, including Joomla!, WordPress, and Microsoft SharePoint.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience as a Web designer and developer

-Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues

-Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office

-Ability to display a portfolio showcasing broad design

-Ability to demonstrate typographics and design expertise

-Ability to demonstrate visual designer expertise, including gathering raw data from various sources and developing comprehensive and visually engaging designs

-Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multi-task across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, team-based environment

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Web development libraries, including jQuery and Bootstrap

-Experience with content management systems, including Joomla!, WordPress, and SharePoint

-Experience with Web design and development and multimedia

-Experience with UX methods a plus

-Experience with mobile app development a plus

-Knowledge of information architecture, workflow design, information management, and governance for site usability

-Knowledge of evolving Web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3

-Possession of excellent presentation, interpersonal, client support, and collaboration skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree a plus

Clearance:
