Windows Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations and develop system architecture and system design documentation. Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans, interact with the client regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Maintain responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility and communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.


Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with designing, capturing or imaging, deploying, managing, and configuring Windows Servers

-Experience with designing server deployment solutions using various tools, including Microsoft SCCM

-Experience with applying and solving technical challenges of DoD STIG and SRG implementation
-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam
-HS diploma or GED and 8 years of experience with IT, AA or AS degree and 6 years of experience with IT, BA or BS degree and 4 years of experience with IT, or MA or MS degree and 2 years of experience with IT

-DoD 8570 Certification compliant

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with designing, capturing or imaging, deploying, managing, and configuring 2012R2 and 2016

-Experience with designing, implementing, and management group policy solutions, remote server management, and high–availability for Windows Server infrastructure

-Experience with designing server deployment solutions using various tools, including Windows Deployment Server (WDS) and Windows Image Deployment (WIM) files

-Experience with using or navigating the VMware vSphere environment 5.0 or higher

-Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuring Windows Server 2016
-Experience with developing and managing scripted solutions using PowerShell

-Experience with implementing or deploying Desired State Configuration (DSC)

-Experience with using vulnerability scanning and RMF tools, including SCAP, Nessus, ACAS, eMass, and XACTA

-Experience with automating the deployment of patches, drivers, and software via Microsoft SCCM or other related tools
-Experience with developing and enhancing operational procedures and new innovative solutions to address current and emerging IT challenges
-Knowledge of ITIL change managements and problem management best practices
-Ability to work independently and as a team member to solve difficult technical challenges on a global scale
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent team collaboration skills
-BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Network Engineering
-Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) in Server 2012 R2 or 2016 or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Server 2012 R2 or 2016 Certification
-PMP or ITILv3 Certification
