Workday Business Analyst

Key Role:

We are looking for a Workday Business Analyst to consult with stakeholders to comprehend the structure, policies, and operations of an organization or function, and recommend Workday solutions that enable the organization or function to achieve its goals. As a Workday Business Analyst, you will be aligned to support the employee life cycle, with focus in one or many Workday process areas, including recruiting, Core HR, and compensation. 

More specifically, as a Workday Business Analyst you will:

-Provide Workday consulting expertise to stakeholders and clients, including operational functionality as well as future initiatives to support processes

-Ensure Workday is optimized and used effectively

-Gather fit/gap assessments for Workday enhancements and testing to include creating test cases, working with testers and participating in testing

-Ensure alignment and awareness of future Workday functionality in small or large releases by actively participating in Workday releases and staying ahead of new features/functionality being introduced by Workday

Our ideal candidate can demonstrate:

-Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation

-Experience in testing, including test planning, test case development, and test execution

-Experience in leading and integrating teams of people who are not direct reports

-Experience with project management and coordination in a systems development life cycle environment, including requirements, design, build, test, and deploy

-Knowledge of how to turn requirements and design into an appropriate test plan.  Ensure testing on system functionality but also testing on how the system is used by the business to perform their roles.

-Knowledge of how to conduct process design and reengineering of processes, where needed

-Ability to document the organizations system and non–system processes in a process flow diagram

-Ability to lead the business and system owners in discussions on re-engineering processes to optimize Workday’s usage, where needed

-Ability to quickly get up to speed on how Workday is currently configured, and what is coming in future functionality and to help the clients align their future organization goals and talent strategies to better and more optimized use of Workday to deliver on those goals

To be eligible you must have:

-6+ years of experience with business analysis with some experience in the 4 types

-Experience with Strategic Planning to identify the organization’s business needs

-Experience with Business Model analysis to identify the organization’s policies and market approaches

-Experience with Process design to standardize the organization’s workflows

-Experience with Systems analysis to broker with IS how business rules and requirements translate to the system

-Experience with external consulting efforts and professional services industry

Nice to have:

-Experience with Test management

-BA or BS degree or above
