Job Description
The Opportunity:
As the world transitions more to cloud-based computing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, there are more opportunities to migrate local, disparate applications into the cloud. As a Cloud Engineer, you know that security, availability and deployment velocity improve as more services migrate into the cloud. We need an experienced Cloud Engineer like you to help us, and our clients, to find answers in their data to impact important missions.
As a Cloud Engineer on our team, you'll help design, implement, and strategize on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Working specifically with secure AWS environments operating at IL-4/5, you'll support the design, deployment, and sustainment of infrastructure that ensures new capabilities are delivered securely, compliantly, and efficiently into regulated DoD environments. You'll design, deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.
Here, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll serve as a key liaison between our application engineering teams and our deployment organization, translating technical requirements into production-ready infrastructure while maintaining compliance with RMF and ATO requirements. You'll help develop and maintain scalable data platforms, optimize the organization's data platform deployments, and support our team in developing custom ETL and ELT workflows to address critical analytical questions, including emerging AI-enabled workflows.
What You’ll Work On:
Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure supporting IL-4/5 workloads.
Coordinate production releases and infrastructure changes with enterprise deployment teams.
Configure and manage containerized services using Docker or Kubernetes.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tooling.
Enforce security controls and remediate vulnerabilities to maintain compliance.
Support ATO documentation, technical controls implementation, and continuous monitoring requirements.
Contribute to secure AI-enabled workflow development by helping define security guardrails and repeatable deployment patterns.
Identify infrastructure and process improvements to enhance reliability and standardization across environments.
Execute technical tasks independently while escalating risks, blockers, and compliance concerns as appropriate.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
3+ years of experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud environments
3+ years of experience deploying applications into IL-4 or higher secure environments
3+ years of experience with Docker or Kubernetes in cloud environments
3+ years of experience integrating security scan tools such as SAST, dependency scanning, or container scanning into DevOps pipelines
3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining security controls in regulated environments
1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
Knowledge of DoD accreditation processes, including RMF and ATO workflows
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience serving as a technical liaison between engineering and enterprise deployment teams
Experience supporting IL-6 environments
Experience with end-to-end AWS DevSecOps processes
Experience supporting systems requiring formal accreditation and continuous monitoring of DoD Systems
Experience in the development of secure AI-enabled workflows, defining and implementing appropriate security controls, guardrails, and compliance processes
Knowledge of infrastructure as code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
