Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

As a Senior DevSecOps engineer on our team, you’ll use your development experience to lead the creation of a modern platform to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll lead efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best – innovate. You’ll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to build your experience in cloud-based development with cutting edge technology that will improve citizens’ interactions with government services.

As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build software solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with cloud computing, including provisioning and maintaining AWS services, including ALB, EC2, IAM, Redshift, S3, or EMR
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Cloud Formation, and Ansible
  • 1+ years of experience with Devops/DevSecOps through CI/CD pipeline tools, including GitLab pipelines
  • Experience with containerization tools and technologies using Docker Enterprise, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or AWS EKS
  • Expertise with DevSecOps tools, including Gitlab, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Splunk, Instana, Prometheus, Grafana, or Logstash
  • Experience with remediating security vulnerabilities
  • Experience with developing and maintaining in operational platform working on or providing input for system security assessment artifacts, including SSP
  • Experience with working in Agile development
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with system architecture or microservices architecture
  • Experience with Kubernetes or Helm
  • Experience with API gateways, including Kong
  • Experience with analyzing observability metrics, logs, traces and in incident response and general O&M/SRE processes, including SLA/SLO
  • Experience with Docker or Kaniko
  • Experience with Camunda
  • Experience with Cucumber
