The Opportunity:
Do you want to build and deliver a powerhouse system that will create efficiency in federal grants management? You know a good application is more than just a nice-looking interface and data and you need the right combination of programming expertise to build a user focused solution. As a full-stack developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for a developer with the skills needed to build customized science and education grants management business solutions from vision to production-ready system.

This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify and implement system improvements. Using modern agile practices and a modern architecture of REST APIs, such as microservices, with a loosely coupled JavaScript responsive user interfaces (UI), you’ll work with the development team to increase efficiency and effectiveness of proposal processing, build IT resilience, and reduce risk from supporting outdated technologies. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with developing and modernizing federal grants management applications
  • 5+ years of experience with Java technologies, including J2EE. JSP, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate and JPA, JDBC, XSLT, and XML and Web Services, including REST and Soap
  • 1+ years of experience with modern JavaScript MVC frameworks, including Ember.js, React.js, Vue, and Angular.js
  • Experience with providing production support and issue resolution
  • Experience with mentoring and managing team of developers
  • Knowledge of federal grants management Software Development Life Cycle
  • Ability to brief clients on analysis of alternatives and drive discussions that ensure implementation is aligned to target state
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree 

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Atlassian Suite of tools, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with automated testing, including using Selenium or JavaScript testing frameworks

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
