Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition SME, Senior

Key Role:

Conduct cybersecurity assessments, security design engineering, and threat monitoring of non-IT systems, including industrial control systems (ICS), physical systems, or embedded systems. Design and implement cybersecurity threat detection and monitoring solutions to perform on-site security assessments for complex operational platforms. Apply expertise to understanding designs, protocols, and physical configurations of purpose-built systems that can define and implement comprehensive countermeasures to detect threats and maintain the overall cybersecurity posture of these systems. Analyze the development of project plans and manage clients and project and program finances, including internal and external reporting requirements. Participate in the business development cycle by helping to develop white papers and briefings for presentations to government clients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with engineering, design, or maintenance of Industrial Control Systems
  • Experience with SCADA/PLC/HMI system development and software packages from large commercial vendors
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including automation peripherals, air and water flow meters, pressure transducers, temperature transmitters, or variable frequency drives
  • Knowledge of computer networks and communications protocols used in Integrated Communications System (ICS), including CP/IP, MODBUS, and BACnet
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • IAM Level I certification, including CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, or Security+ HCISPP

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing software using C and C++ for Windows, Linux, or embedded platforms
  • Experience with Computer Automated Design (CAD)
  • Experience with distributed hardware, software and network communication elements used to control and monitor electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Experience with PCB design, layout or fabrication
  • Knowledge of the administration of IT systems, including Windows computers, networking devices, and firewalls
  • Knowledge of codes and standards pertaining to mechanical and SCADA design, including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and UL 508
  • Master’s degree
  • PMP certification
