Cloud Computing Application Architect, Senior
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve collaboration and project tracking for intelligence and national security missions? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of national security’s toughest problems.
On our team, you’ll provide architectural design and implementation expertise for Atlassian tool suite migration to the cloud. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with migration teams and intelligence mission to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set in areas like Atlassian Tools, data migration, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and DevOps while developing critical systems for intelligence and national security missions.

You Have:
2+ years of experience with developing enterprise AWS solutions
2+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies
Experience with data migration
Knowledge of the Atlassian Tool Suite
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience writing scripts using tools such as Python or Bash
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and tools such as Terraform
Ability to work in development environments such as the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
Bachelor’s degree
AWS Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
