As an aerospace systems engineer, you know leading-edge technology and systems are critical to national defense. As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll provide expertise in evaluating new technologies, performing risk assessments, and improving the design processes of aerospace systems. Your experience in technology and aerospace acquisition is key and makes you an integral part of delivering a client-focused solution.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge aerospace technology. You’ll work with a large community of aerospace and systems engineers across the industry, and collaborate with the client and its contractors to deliver world-class solutions for a leading aerospace program. Specifically, assisting in developing improved airworthiness processes and managing the assessment and approvals of multiple system projects as they are assessed for platform approval. Your ability should be key in coordinating multiple teams of industry experts in their assessment of critical system improvements and new designs. Your engineering and process knowledge will help expand and improve client capabilities to equip multiple nations with the Next Generation of aircraft.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Defense Aircraft Acquisitions or Military Aircraft operations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with different clients
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Defense Acquisitions
Nice If You Have:
- Experience as a military member in aviation or an aviation industry engineer
- Knowledge of military or FAA airworthiness processes and MILHBK-516B
- Knowledge of digital engineering and systems process modeling
- Secret clearance
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
