Business IT Analyst, Lead

We’re looking for someone like you to propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.  

As an IT business analyst, you’ll oversee leading-edge systems, applications, and products. Guiding your team of architects, developers, software engineers, data scientists, and AI and ML engineers, you’ll identify clients’ business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You’ll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you’ll lead your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you’ll deliver high business value products to Department of Defense users.

You Have: 

  • 10+ years of experience as a digital business or system requirements analyst

  • Experience with business requirements analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Ability to document business rules and impact processes or systems and functional and technical specifications using process flows, epics and user stories

  • Ability to gather and document technical and operational requirements and create mockups

  • Ability to work with application development teams during high level design and testing, to ensure that IT systems meet user needs

  • Ability to research new tools and technologies, conduct alternatives analysis, and support implementation of proofs of concept

  • Secret clearance

  • Master’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in process improvement and project management, including in a government IT environment

  • Experience supporting budget, billing, reporting, and financial management for IT initiatives

  • Experience working with technologists and senior-level decision-makers

  • Experience in assessing performance of applications in producing business value and return on investment

  • Knowledge of data modeling, database design, cloud service providers, and security and access controls

  • Knowledge of DoD IT policies

  • Ability to lead the coordination of requirements meetings or conduct requirements workshops 

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Doctorate degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
