Defense Test and Evaluation Policy Analyst, Lead

In this role, you’ll bring your analytical, strategic, and technical expertise as you lead a team on projects for the Department of Defense’s test & evaluation (T&E) community. You’ll assist in researching and developing policy and guidance recommendations and in assessing policy development and regulatory activities related to defense acquisition and T&E. You’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to assist in identifying, analyzing, and evaluating complex systems, policies, and processes. 

You’ll oversee work we do for the defense T&E community and the solutions we deliver for improving defense acquisition and defense T&E activities.

You Have:  

  • 10+ years of experience with defense acquisition, test and evaluation, or assisting in engineering policy and guidance activities  

  • Experience with researching and evaluating reports from private and public organizations dedicated to defense studies

  • Experience with analyzing laws, executive orders, regulations, and DoD issuances

  • Experience with supporting working groups and governance committees at the working group and executive levels

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently, with minimal guidance  

  • Secret clearance

  • Master’s degree


Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience in a defense acquisition program office, program executive office, or equivalent

  • Experience in conducting or overseeing defense operational test and evaluation   

  • Knowledge of the DoD issuance process for creating, reissuing, changing, and canceling DoD issuances

  • Knowledge of DoD organizations, culture, and processes 

  • Ability to develop background papers, talking points, reports, and briefings suitable for executive levels 

  • TS/SCI clearance 

  • Doctorate degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
