Exercise Planner, Defense Support to Civil Authorities

Key Role:

Apply expertise in planning defense support for civil authorities' exercises. Support the lead planner in designing, developing, conducting, and evaluating exercises that test military units' ability to deploy in support of client missions. Design, develop, conduct, and evaluate emergency preparedness exercises involving civilian agencies. Analyze emergency preparedness policies and the development of emergency preparedness plans, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with DoD emergency response assets

-Experience with providing defense support to civil authorities

-Experience with developing Master Scenario Event Lists using the Joint Master Scenario Events List tool

-Knowledge of Mission Essential Task Lists.

-Knowledge of Joint Task Force civil support

-Ability to design, develop, conduct, and evaluate exercises

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in designing and developing exercises with federal civilian agencies

-Master Exercise Practitioner Program Certification

-Completion of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program training

-Completion of National Incident Management System training
