Financial Management Data Engineer

Key Role:

Support the US military financial management community in the development and maintenance of scalable data stores that supply big data in forms needed for business analysis. Apply consulting and technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Integrate auto machine learning tools into existing data platforms and tie into robotic process automation tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with data engineering
  • Experience with building databases and data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and prepping data into Common Data Models (CDMs)
  • Experience with programmatically processing source data in various formats, including SQL databases or raw Comma Separated Values (CSV)
  • Experience with AWS, GCloud, or Azure development
  • Experience with data ingestion tools, including StreamSets, Apache Kafka, or SFTP
  • Experience with data storage tools, including Amazon S3, or HDFS
  • Experience with database tools, including MySQL workbench, or PostgresQL
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Math, or Statistics

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data acquisition through Secure File Gateway (SFG), External Data Load (EDL), or Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • Experience with data platform tools, including Amazon RDS or Cloudera
  • Experience with data infrastructure and security tools, such as AWS IAM
  • Experience with Data processing tools, including AWS EMR, Trifacta, or Apache Spark
  • Experience with Data governance tools, including Cloudera Navigator, Collibra, Sentry, or HUE
  • MA or MS degree preferred; PhD a plus
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
