IT Governance Specialist

The Opportunity: 

As an IT Governance Specialist supporting the defense sector, you know that successfully implementing lean processes that provide strategic oversight of an IT portfolio are critical to facilitate digital transformation. You’re eager to apply your knowledge and advanced consulting experience to develop creative solutions that help clients achieve IT mission objectives to keep the nation safe. 

As an integral part of our consulting team, you’ll be called on to coordinate with government SMEs at all leadership levels and from numerous organizations, including DoD, DON, and Marine Corps, to facilitate multi-disciplinary boards, bureaus, centers, cells and working groups (B2C2WGs). Employing superior customer service skills, you’ll work closely with key stakeholders to capture key points, themes, trends, and opportunities and translate these insights into critical deliverables for Sr. Leader decision making. 

In this role, you’ll directly impact the posture of the service, advance its future state goals, and ensure it maintains a warfighting advantage by ensuring decisions are made faster, are better informed, and transparent. With opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing and collaborating as a team to solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems for the Marine Corps.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience working in a military or government setting

  • 2+ years of experience in a governance, secretariat, or staff officer role

  • Experience with the preparation and development of senior leadership-level background papers, reports, and presentations

  • Experience analyzing IT strategy and policy

  • Ability to work as a self-starter and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience leading digital and technical proposals and whitepaper development

  • Knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and Lean Six Sigma frameworks and principles

  • Knowledge of IT portfolio and lifecycle principles

  • Possession of excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Top Secret clearance 

  • Master’s degree

  • Agile Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
