Operations Research Analyst

Key Role:

Analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of business to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Apply specific functional knowledge, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in active duty service as Marine Corps officer - major or senior captain

  • 3+ years of experience as a uniformed operations research analyst

  • 3+ years of experience with presenting, briefing, or communicating analytical research material in the Marine Corps, Navy, or DoD

  • Experience with analytical methodologies, including statistics, data modeling, forecasting, optimization, or academia

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel

  • Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop mathematical models to support a variety of client problems

  • Secret clearance required

  • MS degree in Operations Research

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming, including VBA, R, Python, and MATLAB preferred
  • Ability to take on multiple roles, including information management and analytic methodology development
