Satellite Communications Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe. As a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Analyst, you’ll bring your technical expertise to work alongside thought leaders in a headquarters environment on SATCOM policy and strategy.

You will support and assist U.S. Air Force clients on policy, strategy, and governance for SATCOM, including space systems and ground infrastructure. You’ll coordinate with diverse groups of DoD stakeholders across the world to maintain an awareness of national senior leadership communications needs and efforts to field technical solutions and drive modernization efforts for the U.S. Air Force. You’ll assess and advise on requirements, issues, and solutions, and support U.S. Air Force clients in governance forums on topics such as tactical, satellite, and strategic communications, and waveform technology. You’ll advise clients on approaches to advocate for initiatives in U.S. Air Force and DoD budget processes, and develop and implement strategies for aligning disparate platforms, missions, and communications networks and architectures across the U.S. Air Force enterprise.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with government, military, or information technology divisions
  • Experience with SATCOM infrastructures
  • Experience with U.S. space SATCOM policy
  • Knowledge of waveforms, radios, antennas, aircraft, gateways, or ground and space touch points
  • Knowledge of DoD processes, requirements, acquisition, and resourcing
  • Ability to understand client objectives and assess solutions and architectures
  • Ability to coordinate with clients or leadership for time sensitive tasks, including development of papers and briefings tailored to the appropriate audience
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with U.S. Air Force processes for requirements, acquisition, and resourcing
  • Knowledge of space architectures specific to the U.S. Air Force and DoD
  • Knowledge of DoD or U.S. Air Force budget processes and governance
  • Master’s degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
