As an experience designer, you have can put yourself in the user’s place and design the best way for them to engage with the system. We’re looking for someone creative like you to craft the ultimate user experience.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the product manager on your team to understand your clients’ vision and their users’ needs. Working on an agile team, you’ll build skills in designing large-scale digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are aesthetically pleasing.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing user-centric software solutions for a JADC2 client in the DoD space. You will be responsible for translating complex workflows into intuitive and efficient user experiences, ensuring that our tools meet the operational needs of warfighters and technical users. Collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders, you will create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs that enhance usability and functionality while adhering to DoD standards and best practices. Your work will directly impact mission-critical software used across multi-domain operations.

You Have:
3+ years of experience using Figma to create detailed UI/UX designs, prototypes, and design handoffs for developers
2+ years of experience working with design systems, including tools like Storybook or Figma Libraries, to maintain consistency across applications
2+ years of experience with front-end collaboration tools, such as Zeplin or InVision Inspect to ensure seamless communication between design and development teams
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design
1+ years of experience managing design updates and iterations with Figma’s versioning features
1+ years of experience collaborating in Agile teams
Knowledge of project management tools, such as Jira
Ability to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive interfaces
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
2+ years of experience working with additional prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Axure to explore alternative workflows
2+ years of experience in graphic design, using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Affinity Designer to create custom assets
1+ years of experience with front-end development frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js to better collaborate with developers
1+ years of experience maintaining cohesive branding and design systems using various platforms
1+ years of experience incorporating user feedback and analytics into designs
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
