Azure Operations Lead
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve the homeland security mission? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of homeland security's toughest problems.
As a leader on our team, you’ll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in Azure to design, define, develop, test, debug cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal Azure labs, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients’ problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and lead your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:
8+ years of experience with IT cloud and infrastructure operations
Experience managing the 24x7 operations of scalable, reliable, and secure Azure cloud-based systems
Experience developing and implementing best practices for cloud operations with monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery on Azure
Experience leading teams of cloud engineers in the operations of enterprise cloud environments in Azure
Knowledge of Azure services and architecture
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure that cloud-based systems meet the organization's SLAs for availability, reliability, and performance
Experience monitoring and analyzing cloud usage and cost, and implementing cost optimization measures
Experience identifying and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure and operations
Experience with Container and Orchestration technologies, DevOps and CI/CD tools and processes
DHS Suitability
Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
