Business Development Leader

Key Role:
Serve as a business development executive to identify, qualify, and execute growth opportunities within the federal intelligence marketplace with a focus on Space & Intelligence. Identify, qualify, and prosecute a three-to-five-year business opportunity pipeline to meet Booz Allen’s revenue and profit growth goals. Collaborate as an integrated team member across account leadership teams in a highly matrixed culture. Maintain responsibility for executing client call plans; development, delivery, and presentation of concept papers, client briefings, formal and informal proposal responses and other outreach efforts to qualify and inform bid no bid decisions in support of advancing new and take-share opportunities through the entire business development lifecycle, 18 – 24 months ahead of solicitation release. Work alongside the leadership team and create and execute the growth strategy for the Dayton marketplace.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in either a senior business development role with a major federal government contractor focused on technology services sales or for the military focused on the space and intelligence domain

  • Experience in Mission Knowledge, including major programs, initiatives, and challenges 

  • Experience in Space and Counterspace, engineering-level scientific and technical intelligence of foreign air & space, missile, cyber threat analysis, collection, exploitation, and analytic capabilities used throughout the IC to characterize advanced threats

  • Experience with the U.S. Government's acquisition process

  • Experience with full life cycle business development through contract award

  • Ability to leverage client relationship in the DoD Space & Intelligence Community

  • Ability to engage with senior level executives and technical staff

  • Top Secret clearance 

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to coordinate, collaborate, and lead without oversight

  • Ability to work as part of an integrated account and opportunity capture team within a matrixed organization where collaboration and a team-centric culture are paramount for success

  • Possession of strong project management and analytical skills

  • TS/SCI clearance
