Artificial Intelligence Engineer

The Opportunity: 

As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning (ML) is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support missions of national importance. As an Engineer on our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data.   

In this role, you’ll own and define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies. You’ll be part of a large community of ML engineers across the firm and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to deliver world-class solutions to solve real-world problems, process data and information at a massive scale, and perform A/B testing tasks on statistical models, ML algorithms, and systems. Your advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise will guide clients as they navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in AI, Python programming, deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, or Keras, and big data technologies, including Hive, PySpark, Synapse, or Databricks
  • 5+ years of experience with AI and analytics consulting, setting and executing strategic initiatives, and advising at the senior government leader level 
  • Experience in the application of advanced technologies, including AI, data science, and advanced analytics
  • Ability to travel to support regular client meetings and discussions
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Software Development, Data Science, AI, or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
