Database Administrator

Key Role:

Use data analysis queries, identify data errors and inconsistencies, and coordinate data calls to help identify and rectify specific data issues or problems. Formulate, implement, and enforce proper data collection policies and procedures. Establish data quality standards and work with users to ensure those standards are met. Establish database accesses and permissions. Manage valid value menus and associated menu options. Perform and document processes for data review and validation as part of the effort closeout process for reviewing and validating historical data in the database. Create and maintain database user guides.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with working in database maintenance, including establishing new users and the verification and validation of data 
  • Experience in working with Data Quality Management (DQM) through data entry reviews by compiling and organizing data, establishing priorities, and working to resolve incomplete and unclear data with the users 
  • Experience with supporting the organization mission by establishing DQM rules based on business goals and requirements
  • Knowledge of the database user interface process and working with users to address issues
  • Ability to conduct training & brown bag sessions and provide information on database changes and enhancements
  • Ability to create and maintain database user guides and control tips and associated documentation for database releases 
  • Ability to manage valid value menus and associated menu options
  • Ability to troubleshoot data submission errors and data error issues and document the necessary steps to fix the error and avoid recurrence
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with database architecture and implementation in a Cloud environment
  • Ability to comprehend and grasp technical details at a system and component level
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate, and create consensus

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
