Job Description
Key Role:
Spearhead the implementation and adoption of a centralized FinOps platforms. Support the establishment of policies and practices to enable research teams and administrators to maximize the value of their cloud investment. Work with Cloud Service Providers and resellers to build collaboration and data pipelines. Design and implement KPIs for tracking cost allocation, cloud spend, and optimization metrics. Provide escalation path on FinOps best practices and resolve billing inquiries for client experience and junior FinOps personnel. Build and maintain comprehensive documentation of institutional practices and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in a customer-facing position
Experience using FinOps platforms, such as Apptio Cloudability or equivalent cloud cost management tools
Ability to effectively support both financial decision-makers and technical teams
Ability to solve complex problems with a resourceful mindset and strong analytical troubleshooting skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED
FinOps Certified Professional Certification
AWS Solutions Architect (Associate), Azure Administrator Associate, or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer Certification
Additional Qualifications:
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
