GCP Cloud Engineer

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a GCP Cloud Computing engineer, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you’ll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support health clients as they use the cloud to meet new computing challenges and modernize their existing infrastructure.

You’ll closely collaborate with fellow Cloud Engineers and Architects specializing in GCP to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You’ll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in IT applications or managing infrastructure and applications in an enterprise environment

  • 2+ years of experience with managing applications within Google Cloud

  • Knowledge of networking, storage, computer, and database fundamentals

  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with health care or life sciences systems

  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycles and Agile best practices

  • Experience with managing Containers or Virtual Machines

  • Experience with using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins

  • Experience with scripting tools, such as Bash, PowerShell, JSON, and Python

  • Knowledge of Terraform or other IAC tools

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
