Speech Signal Processing Expert

The Opportunity:

Our team of scientists provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance support to programs that have the potential to provide our nation with an overwhelming intelligence advantage. That’s why we need you, a speech signal processing expert, to help us advise our government clients work with research partners that come from academia, research institutions, and the private industry.

You’ll work hand in hand with the Government Program Manager to deliver technical support and expertise on new concepts beyond the program and integral to the program’s success. We’ll look to you to share your expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. Join us and take on exciting challenges in the Intelligence Community.

You Have: 

  • Experience with research and development (R&D) of speech signal processing

  • Experience with R&D of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) algorithms

  • Experience with creating program plans, work breakdown structures, and milestone schedules

  • Experience with managing a multi-disciplinary R&D or Test and Evaluation team

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks proactively

  • Ability to develop succinct, comprehensive, and understandable documents using complex data from multiple sources

  • Ability to convey complex ideas visually at a high level for technically savvy, non-expert audiences, with slide development in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • 4+ years of experience with managing a multi-disciplinary R&D or Test and Evaluation team

  • 4+ years of experience with R&D of AI and ML algorithms

  • 2+ years of experience with speaker recognition systems

  • 2+ years of experience with speech modification systems

  • 2+ years of experience with automatic speech recognition systems, including speech-to-text

  • 2+ years of experience in the Intelligence Community, including with requirements, CONOPS, and transition

  • 1+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager

  • Possession of excellent written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent editing, organizational, detail oriented, problem solving, multitasking, and time management skills

  • Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, CS, EE, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree in Physics, Mathematics, CS, EE, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
