Data Architect

The Opportunity:

As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions.

As a data architect on our team, you’ll lead the development of a modern data solutions team that helps to acquire, engineer, and govern DoD enterprise data. You'll lead a team building a large-scale, data-centric platform from vision to production-ready system. You'll apply a wide range of Big Data and Cloud technologies to lead the development of data integration pipelines, scalable data storage environments, Application Programming interfaces (APIs), security procedures, and algorithms used to deliver data faster and more accurately to decision-makers. You'll analyze the needs and the environment to ensure development considers the current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. You'll define and maintain canonical data elements and definitions, data models, business rules, and constraints using regular expressions, and reference datasets. You'll oversee the use of web services using Application Programming Interface (API) protocols and validate data formats. You'll develop plans for implementing an enterprise data catalog to identify data quality and data lineage.

You Have:   

  • 10+ years of experience with data architecture, data warehousing, and data governance

  • 5+ years of experience with leading business process reengineering, business process assessment, or business architectural development

  • 5+ years of experience with developing highly responsive data structures, metadata capture strategies, ontologies, and data dictionaries

  • 3+ years of experience with leading data operations teams to develop architecture, extract-transform-load (ETL) data pipelines, and data mode

  • 3+ years of experience with managing an enterprise data catalog for a large organization

  • Experience with cloud technology supporting scalable data solutions

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering

Nice If You Have:   

  • 3+ years of experience with managing classified data as well as sensitive data

  • Knowledge of DoD enterprise data mission space and systems

  • Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering preferred

  • TS/SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
