Key Role:
Apply expertise to the analysis, program management, recommendations, and guidance of strategic mobility, deployment and distribution support capabilities, and joint theater distribution operations. Manage and prioritize all strategic and operational requirements submitted to the Geographic Combatant Commander (GCC) through Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and supporting a Deployment and Distribution Center (DDOC). Forecast theater movements to leverage joint assets and OPLAN requirements. Provide requirements adjudication and recommendations for real-world and exercise. Optimize real-world and exercise training objectives and Commander decision-making through requirements analysis and recommendations. Coordinate, monitor, and provide status on requirements for strategic movements in support of new requirements to include crisis and contingency operations.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a military or government logistics and sustainment operations professional
3+ years of experience with Joint Logistics operations and planning
3+ years of experience in supporting INDOPACOM AOR
Experience with Joint Distribution and associated systems, including Integrated Data Environment (IDE), Global Transportation Network (GTN), Convergence (IGC), Global Decision Support System, and Single Mobility System (SMS)
Experience with analyzing policies
Experience with writing information papers and concepts of operation (CONOPs)
Ability to quickly analyze and synthesize multiple data sets to determine the optimum transportation mode
Ability to work non-standard work hours to support crisis or surge operations
Secret clearance
BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Lines of Effort that support the Joint Concept for Contested Logistics
Experience with the entire spectrum of global resources and capabilities
Experience with working collaboratively with cross-functional teams across departments and commands
Knowledge of the USINDOPACOM Exercise Program, including location, participating nations, and commands historic FTX exercises, including Pacific Partnership efforts
Knowledge of JOPES processes, including the fundamentals of Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) development
Knowledge of Joint Campaign, Contingency, and Crisis Action Planning procedures
Knowledge of Joint Doctrine and Joint Publication (JP) 4-0, JP 4-01, and JP 4-04
Ability to provide analysis of theater air, sea, and surface transportation resources by monitoring various in-transit visibility (ITV) systems
Ability to quickly analyze and synthesize multiple data sets to forecast reception, onward movement, and redeployment requirements and manage force flow and sustainment flow velocity
Ability to conduct strategic assessments and brief senior military leaders
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
MA or MS degree
