Cloud Application Architect, Senior
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a cloud architect, you know how to create and advise customers on cloud-based technical architecture and migration recommendations that meet needs and take advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve the Intelligence Community? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of our client's toughest problems.
On our team, you’ll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Using your technical experience, you’ll work with your client to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with software development or engineering
3+ years of experience with designing, implementing, migrating to, or consulting on AWS
2+ years of experience serving as a solution architect integrating disparate technologies into cohesive technical solutions that directly address client challenges
Ability to communicate orally and in writing to establish the client’s business strategy and technical needs
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor's degree
Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 6 months of hire
Nice If You Have:
3+ years of experience in a technical consulting or solution architect role
3+ years of experience with building large-scale enterprise solutions, including security concerns, high availability methods, multiple platforms, network design, monitoring solutions, and performance
Experience with building, delivering, or managing solutions within classified cloud environments provided by the C2S or C2E programs
Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps for build and release pipelines
Knowledge of establishing enterprise-wide Data Platform architecture, frameworks, design, and development standards
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Master's degree
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification
Security+ or Cybersecurity Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
