As a site reliability engineer on our team, you’ll help the client develop more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure to support reliability, observability and monitoring of complex systems. You’ll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This is your chance to further your skills in cloud technologies while continuing to grow your SRE experience.  This is an opportunity to broaden your skill set into areas like Agile development, cloud-based development, containerization, and serverless while developing software that will improve national security. You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience with developing and deploying automation services for continuous monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, Elastic, or Splunk
  • 5+ years of experience with operationalizing and maintaining complex cloud applications at enterprise scale
  • 6+ years of experience with cloud technology in a professional work environment
  • 4+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues with cloud infrastructure failures or slowness
  • Experience with zero-downtime deployments and maintenance and with writing scripts and glue to automate services, functionalities, and tools using technologies, including Python scripting, Bash, Boto3, JSON, or YML or XML templates
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Azure or Cloud providers, and open-source platform tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Experience with containers and container management solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher and with interpreting the logs and alerts of complex systems to identify, address, and troubleshoot issues
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with building large-scale enterprise solutions, including security concerns, high availability methods, multiple platforms, network design, monitoring solutions, and performance.
  • Experience with building, delivering, or managing solutions within classified cloud environments provided by the C2S or C2E programs.
  • Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps for build and release pipelines
  • Knowledge of establishing enterprise-wide Data Platform architecture, frameworks, design, and development standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, Kubernetes Administrator Certification,
  • Active Security+ or Cybersecurity Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
