Compensation Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Leverage subject matter expertise as a compensation consultant, including working as part of a dynamic team of consultants performing quantitative and qualitative compensation analyses to resolve a wide range of compensation and data analytics challenges in a highly impactful role within a client HR organization. Apply compensation principles to develop predictive models and guide decision-makers towards an optimal system and service design. Apply expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis, optimization, data visualization, and processes, leveraging analytical methodologies, and expertise to execute project tasks. Support information management, report generation, data visualizations, and methodology development. Participate in the verification and validation of models and tools. Analyze trends and communicate results to the project team that will assist with the decision-making process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with working in a professional environment in a role, including using critical thinking and analysis in one or more of the following fields: compensation analysis, data mining and optimization, statistics, or complex data visualizations
  • Knowledge of federal human resources policies and processes
  • Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and complex compensation plans that align with evolving strategies and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to apply probability and statistical techniques to analyze large and complex data sets and conduct the development and application of optimization models to support independent assessments of studies, analyses, reports, and cost estimate
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of Excel, including regression analyses, advanced formulas, and present complex data sets simultaneously
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph 
  • BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing data visualizations using Tableau
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including DCAA and dealing with DCAA or any regulatory body on compensation matters
  • Knowledge of executive compensation programs
  • Knowledge of talent acquisition challenges in specialist skills areas such as technical, Cybersecurity, or data science
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communications skills both written and oral
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, analysis, and data gathering skills
  • MBA, MA, or MS degree in I/O psychology
  • CCP or GRP Certification
  • Compensation courses such as WorldatWork, or eCornell
