Forensic Engineer and Technical Writer, Senior

Key Role:

Collaborate with engineering and digital forensics staff to prepare, edit, or revise technical documentation. Generate and publish a wide range of products, including Application Programming Interface (API) documentation, user guides, FAQs, knowledge base content, standard operating procedures, test procedures, digital forensics examination reports, systems engineering technical documents, tutorials, training materials, and technical overview briefings. Direct the knowledge management effort for forensics processes, procedures, systems, and infrastructure across a division level organization. Analyze standardized documentation policies and procedures. Maintain templates for documentation produced by others, including forensics case reports, white papers, or briefings. Ensure a consistent "look and feel" for all written products across-the-board. Administer and control several division content management tool suites, including Gitlab, JIRA and Confluence. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with digital forensics techniques, processes, and tools

-Experience with generating detailed technical documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill

-Experience with creating infographics to communicate workflow processes and abstract topics

-Experience with source control systems and workflow tools, including Git, JIRA, or Confluence

-Knowledge of API documentation for Representational State Transfer, including REST or RESTful

-Ability to read programming code

-Ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical content

-Ability to document or present forensic findings during a formal review before peers or clients

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing requirements in support of the client mission

-One or more of the following industry-recognized forensics certifications: ACE, EnCE, GCFE, CCI, GREM, GIAC, CHFI, GCFA, or CCFP Forensics Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
