Mission Application Test Engineer
The Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, a test engineering expert who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a test engineer on our team, you’ll lead your team as they work with developers, DevOps engineers, system administrators, data engineers and testers to evaluate software developed for the Intelligence Community. You’ll oversee the creation of a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automated and manual processes, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of mission applications, including web-facing, cloud-based information systems.
This is an opportunity to share your skills with a team as they write the code to test. You’ll also broaden your team’s experience in large scale data integration, fusion and exploitation, cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures while exploring new areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and increased automation that will benefit you, your team, and your client.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures
Knowledge of github or JIRA
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience in Selenium, Java, or JavaScript
Knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and database administration, including SQL Server or Oracle
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Technical field
Amazon or Microsoft Cloud Provider with Testing Certification, including ISTQB, CASTP, CAST, or CSTE Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
