Systems Site Reliability Engineer, Mid

As a site reliability engineer on our team, you’ll help Intelligence Community (IC) develop more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure. You’ll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair.  This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like system sustainment in the cloud. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience providing support for in the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems 
  • Experience isolating and resolving problems involving the applications, operating system, hardware, communications, other infrastructure, or any combination as needed 
  • Experience handing off problem reports to appropriate leads like Amazon/C2S or NGA-ESC
  • Experience providing systems and account administration consistent with system requirements to support remote system service 
  • Experience providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers 
  • Experience installing/loading operating system and application software 
  • Experience integrating new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems 
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS Diploma and 6+ years of experience in Information Technology, Associate's Degree and 4+ years of experience in Information Technology, or Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in Information Technology 
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting help desk
  • Experience with network devices, including firewall administration
  • Knowledge of government security practices and policies
  • Knowledge of trouble ticketing system and processes
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Ability to navigate problems quickly and route issues to proper priority
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
