Job Description
- Norfolk, Virginia, USA
The Opportunity:
Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. We’re looking for an architect who can create solutions for our DoD client that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.
As a Cybersecurity Zero Trust Architect on our project, you’ll lead the architecture and design efforts of innovative cybersecurity solutions and service offerings to protect federal government networks. You’ll coordinate with a dynamic team of thought leaders and experts to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s IT security needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to security architecture design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating cybersecurity technologies and solutions, including IoT, OT, and Cloud security, Automation and Orchestration (A&O), identity and access management, conditional based access, attribute-based access control, and micro-segmentation. Join our team as we tackle cybersecurity challenges and shape opportunities to implement solutions and service offerings leveraging investments and proven capabilities.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with IT, including modernization, enterprise architecture, system integration, automation platforms, and security
- Experience using Zero Trust principles and design, including Just-in-Time access, Principal of Least Privilege, ICAM, PKI, MFA, and network segmentation, and applying them to infrastructure and application security policies
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for network, system, and application security
- Experience configuring and managing infrastructure security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and IAM solutions
- Experience leveraging Microsoft PowerShell to automate, install, configure, harden, and maintain Windows systems
- Ability to create and test virtualized environments, including VMWare, OpenShift, Hyper-V, or AWS, for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirements
- Ability to install, configure, and administer in a multi-system or multi-application environment in both Windows and Linux OSs
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience architecting Zero Trust solutions, roadmaps, and capabilities in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207, CISA Maturity Model, or DoD Zero Trust Strategy

- Experience with SailPoint and Radiant Logic and Ping Federate
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira
