Software Automation Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

Quality is about more than ensuring test cases pass – it’s the reflection of the experience and the confidence our end users have when they interact with our systems, which they depend on to do their jobs, help others, and support their mission. We’re looking for an automation engineer to help us enforce the protection of this user experience by writing automation suites encompassing UI tests, API tests, performance tests, and more.

This role will include working as an integrated member of a development teams alongside other testers to build these automation suites as part of the Agile delivery processes, integrated into DevSecOps pipelines to enforce quality with governance. We need people who are passionate about writing effective tests using best practices and built with emerging technologies and tools. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with designing and maintaining automation tests

  • Experience with API testing

  • Experience testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment

  • Knowledge of programming languages, including Java and Python

  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks, including Selenium, WebdriverIO, Eggplant, and Appium

  • Ability to create test plans and test cases from requirements

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice If You have:

  • Experience with testing in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline

  • Experience with testing in a cloud environment using Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure

  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining an automation suite

  • Experience with 508 Accessibility testing
