Full Stack Software Engineer, Lead

The Opportunity:

As a lead software engineer on our team, you’ll design, develop, build, and deploy secure, cloud-based infrastructure as code solutions and applications to support mission-critical operations. You’ll guide the team to research and develop software recommendations through leadership and mentoring.

Your software engineering technical expertise will be vital as you work with our customers to use the latest cloud technologies to improve their capabilities. You’ll be able to leverage your DevSecOps skills and knowledge of platform technologies, such as Kubernetes while migrating critical systems to secure cloud environments. As a technical leader, you’ll identify and lead the design and development of new cloud-based software solutions to help our customers meet their evolving needs.

You Have:

  • Experience with engineering and building software solutions using Golang, developing and maintaining APIs, and building software releases
  • Experience with designing and automating the provisioning of cloud resources and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools, including Terraform, Vault, and Secrets Manager, and with Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies, including Kubernetes
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), command-line interfaces, including Bash, GitLab, YAML, and Microsoft Windows
  • Knowledge of network technologies, including DNS, Load Balancing, and SSL
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps
  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and deliver to project deadlines
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
