Facilities Planner

Key Role:

Provide support to manage facility requirements, facility maintenance and repair, and space management. Analyze functional needs and develop requirements to facilitate the facility utilization process. Recommend office layouts and analyze the development of plans for office moves to support facility optimization. Manage facility projects for maintenance and repair, including coordinating various integrated repair projects. Work under limited supervision with freedom for independent actions on assignments of moderate complexity to ensure efficient usage and accountability for space and facilities within the assigned plant area. Interface with clients frequently. Use multiple analytical platforms for analysis. This position requires the ability to travel.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with facilities management

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, or Access

-Ability to maintain a process to track and align personnel with facilities and workspaces that shows movement over time to interim facilities and final locations

-Ability to obtain and develop requirements for workspaces, equipment, and communications

-Ability to oversee and provide status on progress for facility construction and communications projects and support engineering analysis, cost estimating, and programming of facility projects in support of short- and long-term facility plans

-Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED and 5 years of experience with facilities management or BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with CAD and GIS and AutoDesk and ESRI as it relates to building drawings, information modeling, facilities, and DoD real property data

-Experience with data analysis platforms, including Tableau and Power BI

-Experience with spatial data planning platforms, including Infraworks

-Experience with Computer-Aided Facilities Management applications and facility space planning functions

-Experience with scripting languages, including Python

-Knowledge of DoD installations, missions, organizations, and facility types, including Category Codes

-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred

-Registered with a Professional Engineer Certification in one of the 50 states or a US Territory
