As an Acquisition Logistics Specialist on our team, you’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters.  You’ll work with our clients to evaluate, redesign, and author their system lifecycle and sustainment policies, processes, and documents. Using your understanding of the DoDI 5000.2, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of data analysts, financial managers, systems engineers, and logisticians to ensure lifecycle and sustainment policy and documentation reflects DoD guidance and directives. You thrive on autonomy and are eager to analyze cutting-edge policy and process documents in support of defense sustainment programs. You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with program integration and logistics planning of space-related Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, or hardware system

  • 10+ years of experience in DoD Acquisition Program Management, Acquisition Planning, Sustainment Infrastructure and Organizational Planning 

  • Experience with acquisition management support including developing and coordinating briefings 

  • Experience with assessing program documents and risks to determine the impact to acquisition strategy and overall program schedule  

  • Knowledge of the execution processes unique to the sustainment and logistics organization 

  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals  

  • Ability to be highly motivated with a dynamic work ethic and strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission 

  • Secret clearance  

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or computer science discipline

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with assessing program documents and risks to determine the impact to acquisition strategy and overall program schedule 

  • Experience with performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems 

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) 

  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2 

  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02 

  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies 

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or computer science discipline  

  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP

  • PMP Certification
