DevOps Engineer, Mid

As a DevOps engineer on our team, you’ll use your development experience to streamline our software development lifecycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best – innovate. You’ll implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to build your experience in areas like DevSecOps pipelines, automation, and Cloud-based technologies while developing software that will Improve space-related mission systems and applications. Join our team as we build tools to transform the future of the aerospace industry.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and software development teams 
  • Experience with container-based technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes  
  • Experience with scripting languages, including Python or Bash
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Nexus, Harbor, or Vagrant
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with software development in areas, including JVM languages, such as Kotlin, JavaScript or TypeScript, Spring Boot, React hooks, Git-based repositories, test-driven development (TDD), algorithms, databases, or design patterns 
  • Experience in cybersecurity and scanning tools, including SonarQube, Fortify, Snyk, and OWASP Dependency Check (DC)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation and Terraform  
  • Knowledge of space-related ground systems and applications
  • Knowledge of the DoD and awareness of operational missions 
  • Knowledge of managing private and public cloud deployments of applications 
  • Knowledge of VMWare or Pivotal Container based products, including Pivotal Kubernetes Service or Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated
  • TS/SCI clearance
