The Challenge:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in the aerospace industry? You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.

As a lead system engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape the development of the next generation of space command and control (C2) and space battle management for the space defense enterprise.  You will have the opportunity to improve and drive an enterprise level Rapid Delivery Framework (RDF) based Software Factory operation that delivers mission software on a continuous basis to multiple national warfighting operations centers.

You will support the Space C2 Program Management Office leadership via the Portfolio Requirements Management Team (PRMT) and Program Portfolio Management (PPM) meetings connecting with Headquarters and external agencies and mission partners. Lead and motivate program office personnel on engineering and agile constructs, but also evolve them with advanced technical management and technology solutions. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your skill set into areas like rapid software development and delivery, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) at multiple classification levels. You will be challenged to merge skills needed to lead an organization through the growing pains associated with going agile within the government acquisition construct and systems engineering to ensure our customer’s next generation space defense system performs to operational need and future threats.

  • Experience in the Space Defense domain
  • Experience with system engineering processes to include modeling complex architectures via MBSE tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition
