As a space systems engineer on our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues and the military to develop and deploy the next-generation Space Domain Awareness (SDA) ground software that processes data from sensors across the globe and delivers critical information to our warfighters to quickly win or even prevent future wars. Your client will trust you to develop mission workflows, transition plans and data flow diagrams, and lead integration activities serving as the bridge between software development teams and mission stakeholders. You will grow your skills by researching new requirements, technologies, and threats and using innovative engineering methodologies and tools to create tomorrow’s solutions.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile Methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience performing multiple program management functions in support of quarterly test events and program planning events
  • 2+ years of experience managing risks, analyzing root causes, proposing Courses of Actions (COAs) with quantitative pros and cons, and implementing recommended solutions
  • 2+ years of experience establishing collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve program goals, including government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates
  • Experience with the development of technical workflows, data flow diagrams, and integration plans and schedules
  • Experience with test planning, focusing on coordination of software functionality with government test organizations and mission operators
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Nice If You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale space missions and integration on national security space programs
  • 2+ years of experience using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, including Sparx EA, MagicDraw, and Cameo
  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on Space Domain Awareness systems, including ATLAS, CAVENet, NDPP, CPS, and Warp Core
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or IT
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification
  • Agile Certification, including CSM, SAFe, or PMI-ACP Certification
  • OMG Certified Systems Model Professional Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
